I assumed my post in Shanghai on November 3, 1998. At that time, the facility was small and mainly supported overseas companies, mostly Japanese ones, operating in China. We had no hope of developing Chinese firms as new customers. I started as a resident representative selling Kyushu Matsushita Electric (KME)’S SMT equipment.KME had no name recognition in China at that time. I went all over China with the staff, carrying an over-head projector and film for presentations. My luggage was so heavy my back hurt. On some days I could hardly get out of bed. I was ecstatic when all this hard work appeared to bear fruit with our first order from a Chinese client(today’s Lenovo)-until I learned the manufacturer’s final estimate had left out the cost of two machines. That was fourteen years ago. The environment’s changed a lot since then, with the merger of various manufacturers (the birth of PFSC), explosive economic growth in China, and the emergence of private firms.DJK Shanghai has made great leaps in areas like the number of employees, facilities, and customers. Captivated by the magical city Shanghai, I got married and became a father.

1998年11月3日，我来到上海就任。当时这里只是一个小办公室，主要是支持海外公司，大多是在中国经营的日本公司。我开始作为一个常驻代表，销售九州松下（KME）的SMT设备。当时在中国，KME还没有名气。我们希望依靠新的客户发展中国公司，于是我和我的员工们带着一台为做报告而准备的投影仪走遍了中国的大江南北。由于行李太重，我的背受伤了,有些天我几乎不能起床，但功夫不负有心人，我从一个中国客户（如今的联想）那里得到了订单，这使我高兴不已。我学会了制造商的最终估价，抵消了两台机器的成本，直到这时，似乎这一切的努力开始见效了。经过14年，环境已经有了很大的改变，随着各工厂的合并、中国经济的迅速发展以及各类私人企业的成长，DJK上海也有一个巨大的飞跃，比如增加了大量的员工、办事处和客户。被这座迷幻的城市所吸引，在这里我结婚并成为了一名父亲。

Hi, I am Jiang Yiying from the Finance Department of DJK Shanghai. I’m learning Japanese and accounting. While learning Japanese, I think the spoken language is not easy and very different from the written Japanese. I mainly watch movies and TV shows in Japan to learn how to speak like a  Japanese. By learning Japanese, I not only learn the language itself, but also can understand some of the cultural knowledge. With the development of China, the accounting system is constantly updated, I participate in various seminars to learn financial knowledge in order to catch up with the accounting system daily update. I really hope that Japanese and accounting knowledge would be my competitive edge for my future career in DJK Shanghai.

大家好，我来自上海一实财务部的姜怡颖。现在，我正在学习日语和会计。当我在学习日语的过程中发现开口说一门外语不是一件容易的事情，它和书写有着很大的区别。我试图通过大量的观看日本电影和电视剧来模仿日本人说话的方式，想让自己说的能跟他们一样。这不仅只是学习他们的语言，更让我了解了很多日本文化。在部门内，会计系统频繁地会更新，我必须通过不断的学习各种知识，以便能适应系统的日常更新。我真心希望扎实的日语和会计知识，在不久的将来会成为我在上海一实的一个强有力的竞争优势。

 My name is YuLin.I work in Chemical Dept. in Shanghai. My treasure is a little puppy called Daidai. He came into my life when he was just 2 months old. He likes to eat, never gets enough. He cares about everyone of the family. He brings to me a lot of fun and joy. I consider him like one of the family.

我是来自上海化学·产业机械事业部的郁琳。我的财富是我家一只叫DAIDAI的小狗。当他两个月的时候来到我身边。他喜欢吃，而且总是吃不饱。他在乎家族里的每一个人，他带给我很多的欢乐。我也视他为我们家的一份子。

Zhang hai dong

Hello, my name is Zhang Hai Dong. Now I’m working at SMT Dept. in Suzhou. My treasure is stamps. The world’s first stamp for was issued in 1840s. Stamps have different shapes, designs and colors. I have been collecting stamps more than 20 years. Although now stamp has not been often used, they left us a lot of wonderful memories. Best wishes!

大家好，我的名字叫张海东 。现在我就职于苏州服务部。我的财富是我的邮票。世界上第一款邮票于1840年发行。邮票有很多不同的形状、设计和颜色。我集邮已经超过20年了。虽然现在邮票已经不常被使用了，但是它们仍然留给我们很多美好的回忆。
